FAQ

Do you provide food and drinks?

We have several local partners that can provide catering services if you do not wish to bring your food. However, we do not offer drinks – our tours are a BYO experience. Please bring your favorite alcoholic, sparkling, or other beverages when taking one of our Tiki tours.

How many people can be on the boat?

New Jersey – Six people with 1 captain (making a total of 7)
Florida – 18 people with 1 captain and 1 deck hand (making a total of 20)

Are children allowed?

Yes, children are allowed on our boats. Just let us know ahead of time so we can provide kid-sized life jackets.

Will it just be my group on the boat?

We have both a private and communal option. Private bookings will be just your group. Communal will be your group with others who have signed up as well!

What are your policies around cancelation and inclement weather?

Our bookings are non-refundable, including cancellations. East Coast Tiki Tours reserves the right to cancel any cruise at any time due to inclement weather, safety, mechanical, or behavior concerns. The captain has the discretion to terminate a trip when they believe passenger safety has become a concern due to weather-related or behavioral issues. If a tour has been canceled due to weather concerns or cut short within the first 45 minutes, you will receive a gift certificate to reschedule another tour based on availability.

In the event of potential inclement weather, a “captain’s call” will be made if conditions on the water appear too hazardous for a tour. If it is a passing storm where the following tour is vacant, the captain can opt to wait and delay the tour, allowing you to complete your two-hour tour until the storm passes. The captain, scheduling manager, and guests will need to be in complete agreement for this to occur.

If your tour is canceled or terminated early due to behavioral issues or visible intoxication, there will be no refund or rescheduling.

Do you hold Tiki tours in the rain?

Our Tiki tours can operate in the rain due to our boat’s large roof. However, the Captain has the discretion to cancel due to adverse conditions such as high winds or thunderstorms. U.S. Coast Guard rules say that our boat will not head out if wind speeds exceed twenty (20) knots. If you cannot reschedule and still want to experience one of our cruises, the Captain may opt at their discretion to take your cruise into calmer, protected waters.

Should I tip my captain?

Yes! Since our captains work for tips, we encourage a 20% gratuity. They are very experienced, knowledgeable, and highly trained and work hard to ensure your safety while providing a fantastic Tiki experience!

Can I play my music on board?
